RSS feeds my learning

Well, week 3 was the best yet. I am very excited to have signed up to several RSS feeds. All my favourite websites have been added to my Google homepage so I only have to go to one page to get all the latest info on all my favourite subjects. I have also completed the extra activities.
I did originally use bloglines as the exercise requested and the experience was good, but I prefer to limit the amount of pages I have to log in to so have gone back and done it all using Google.
I have also managed (I think) to add an RSS feed to my blog, one of my best loved TV shows.
I think the professional development applications for Library professionals are limitless with this fabulous technology.

Week 3.
Well, I did it! I survived week 2 and came back for more. Thank you to all those that posted comments on the SLNSW blog as, due to technical difficulties I haven't been able to use all the links yet. So comments helped things move right along. I have had a great time perusing through Flickr, I absolutely adored some of the images I found, but so many of them are restricted under licensing. I did however find this one, I love the retro style, some may say I’m living in the past, but that’s O.K. you have to live somewhere! I also know a very talented young burlesque performer who looks just like this.

Learning: The cherry on top!

Welcome to me very first Blog. I have set this up for the specific purpose of learning about technologies that are currently part of the great mystery of life, or reserved for "Young people these days" I intend to use this Blog to discuss my journey through Web 2.0 training and the trials, tribulations and the occasional cherry moments.

The beginning of the course thus far has been full of the first two. Our work PCs do not have the bandwidth to view YouTube, despite several calls to IT they are unable to help. So I have had to use the laptop at home with terrible resolution.

However, onwards and upwards. I am very excited by the opportunities and I am sure everything will be just fine.
